Couverture géographique

À long terme, le Fonds de finance sociale vise notamment à diversifier le marché de la finance sociale en investissant dans des régions moins bien desservies. La carte ci-dessous montre que c’est précisément ce que nous avons commencé à faire à travers nos investissements dans Realize Fund I et nos efforts de développement du marché.

 Parce que nous sommes toujours en phase d’investissement et que la plupart des IFS de Realize Fund I n’ont pas encore fini de constituer leur portefeuille, le périmètre géographique des investissements est encore appelé à s’élargir.

Objectifs de développement durable

La contribution aux Objectifs de développement durable (ODD) des Nations Unies est un des principaux objectifs du Fonds de finance sociale, et donc de Realize Fund I. Les ODD visent à favoriser la prospérité tout en protégeant l’environnement. Ces 17 objectifs interdépendants constituent collectivement un cadre qui indique la voie à suivre pour assurer le développement durable de la planète.

Notre contribution aux ODD s’est accentuée depuis le début de nos investissements en 2023 et Realize Fund I couvre désormais un large éventail d’objectifs. Au cours de la première moitié de 2025, comme en 2023 et en 2024, l’accent a principalement été mis sur des objectifs axés sur les populations, à commencer par l’ODD 3 – Bonne santé et bien-être et l’ODD 11 – Villes et communautés durables.

Remarque : Les contributions aux ODD sont établies à partir d’une analyse fondamentale qui tient compte à la fois des sondages annuels réalisés auprès des gestionnaires de fonds et de notre thèse d’impact. Lorsqu’une position contribue à plus d’un ODD, nous déterminons un objectif principal et des objectifs secondaires en fonction de l’importance des activités. Pour les objectifs principaux, nous déterminons également la cible précise associée à l’ODD afin de bien comprendre la nature de l’impact. Pour les produits récents, l’évaluation peut reposer sur des estimations prospectives.

Domaines d’impact

Nos investissements et nos activités de développement du marché couvrent un large éventail de domaines d’impact.

Realize Fund I ne se limite pas à un secteur précis. Cette présence dans différents secteurs et domaines d’impact est le résultat d’une approche systémique et intersectionnelle visant à faire évoluer le marché canadien de la finance sociale et à répondre à des défis majeurs et urgents nécessitant des interventions sur plusieurs fronts. Depuis son lancement, Realize Fund I investit dans toute une gamme de domaines d’impact aux retombées environnementales et sociales positives. Au premier semestre de 2025, nos contributions aux domaines du logement abordable et du développement communautaire ont été particulièrement importantes.

Dans le cadre de nos activités de développement du marché, nous soutenons 60 groupes (pour 96 engagements au total) qui couvrent collectivement un vaste éventail de domaines d’impact.

Remarque : Les domaines d’impact sont déterminés au terme d’une analyse fondamentale. Nous analysons les activités de chacun des investissements et déterminons les domaines d’impact correspondants. Si un fonds n’a pas encore déployé de capitaux ou n’a réalisé qu’un ou deux investissements, nous attribuons l’engagement non appelé aux domaines correspondant à l’intention d’impact déclarée par le fonds. À mesure que celui-ci déploie le reste de ses capitaux, nous parvenons à mieux cerner les domaines d’impact au vu des activités effectives, et non plus seulement des intentions affichées.

Populations ciblées

Par nos investissements et nos activités de développement du marché, nous cherchons à rejoindre des populations moins bien desservies. 

En juin 2025, Realize Fund I comptait 19 engagements d’investissement. Deux d’entre eux sont exclusivement axés sur l’environnement, tandis que certains autres visent la population générale. La plupart ciblent toutefois des groupes précis, parfois plusieurs. Au total, 14 des 19 IFS (74 %) s’adressent à un ou plusieurs groupes en quête d’équité.

En date de juin 2025, nos activités de développement du marché soutenaient 60 organisations œuvrant elles-mêmes auprès de différents groupes.
