Existing stocks of affordable housing risk being lost as investors acquire housing stock from existing owners in many Canadian markets. Non-market housing operators often do not have the needed access to capital to compete to secure these housing assets. By partnering with nonprofits across Canada to take ownership of and improve existing housing stock and to create new affordable housing developments, in an environmentally sustainable way, NMF Rental Housing Fund II is helping to create more livable and sustainable communities, strengthen social purpose organizations and tackle climate change.
